Peter D. Staiger, MD, is a graduate of New York Medical College and has been practicing Ophthalmology since 2001. He completed a one year internship in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York, and completed his Ophthalmology residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, where he was Chief Resident in Ophthalmology.
Dr.. Staiger practices General Ophthalmology in addition to LASIK surgery and other refractive procedures, cataract surgery, and ocular surface reconstructions at the Fichman Eye Center.
Dr. Staiger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Hunter College in New York City, graduating Summa cum Laude, and was awarded the Jonas Salk Award for undergraduate research in the Life Sciences.
