A Connecticut native, Dr. Cushing has been practicing optometric eye care since 1979. He has practiced in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and North Carolina. He has twenty-nine years of experience in multiple settings including a VA hospital, HMO clinics, private practice and now at the Fichman Eye Center.His responsibilities at the Fichman Eye Center include post-operative management of cataract, lasik, and other refractive surgery patients, routine eye care, dry eye management, contact lens fittings, and glaucoma management.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.
He is a member in good standing with the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists.
